Visitor's Question: I met "Bob" in one of my college classes, we spoke a few times but were mere acquaintances. We supposedly studied for our final together.... or you could just say we talked about all kinds of subjects from religion to family to culture, for 4 hours. The following semester we only hung out twice, but both times he initiated it. Over the summer he's called me just to say hi and catch up, and suggested hanging out about once or twice. He has a lot to say when I ask what he's been up to (even though some of the stories can be told to anyone), and asks me a lot of questions about what I've been doing over the summer. Last time we hung out, each of us brought a friend that the other didn't know. It was fun, but a little awkward at times. Two days later he texted me saying he was glad we hung out. I like that he's very dependable: if I call, he calls back (even when we couldn't get in touch and played phone tag for over a day, he apologized and we laughed it off), if I text him, he answers, and anything he says he'll do, he does. However, he's very socially adept so he could just do that with everyone... and I don't know how many other girls he's that friendly with. I feel that he's sincere when we talk, but I know very well that he's a great diplomat and knows a lot of people. Also, he's spending next semester abroad, but will be back next spring. It doesn't make sense for him to like me at this time, but his recent attempts to get closer to me confuse me. So could I just be a friend, or more? Our Suggestion: Don't just be a friend... try for more. This could turn into a wonderful summer for you if you two click. Why not give it a try? Good luck!
