Visitor's Question: me and my girlfriend having been seeing eachother for a little over 2 years now. we get into little arguements over dumb stuff once and awhile. but this last weekend we got into a fight because i got mad that we didnt talk all weekend cause she was in another town drinking all weekend. i got mad and said lets go on a break cause i want to think but i was just saying this cause i was mad. then she told me later that night that she wants to break up cause she needs her space. i tired to talk to her and she kept saying that she wants to break up cause she needs her space. and the tough part for me is i cant ask for another chance because about 1 year ago she gave that to me, and now i cant ask for another chance. before the weekend she was really happy with me and we had a lot of fun together. and after the weekend she says she loves me but isnt happy. i know i should give her space but in a way if i want her back i feel like a shouldn't, i think i should go try to talk to her. i think she might just be confused and a little time she will come back to me. well what do you think? please help Our Suggestion: I think she is punishing you for what you did. Wait a week or so and then try to contact her. Ask her out for dinner and see what she says. If she says yes then you are probably on the path back to being together. If she says no, you will have to wait some more. It will be tempting to beg her, but that is not advisable. She probably won't respond and lose respect for you and you will lose respect for yourself.
