Charlie Brown : Part 1Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Roflmao George! I'm back at your site again. Were you thinking of me? Aspen was beautiful and good for the soul! I have come up with an analogy of what I feel like is happening with my neighbor. Did you ever watch Charlie Brown? Remember how Lucy would hold the ball for Charlie the "BlockHead" only to pull it away as he went to kick it? That's what I feel could be happening or is happening. One week into my trip I received a text from "Lucy". "Havent seen you in church for the past 2 weeks just wondering if everything is ok?" Hmm, I've only missed one week of church since my departure, and I seen her there both Sundays b4 I left for Colorado. As a matter of fact we both were in the lobby of the Church the day b4 I left! And on both occasions we did not speak, we only acted as if we didnt notice. While I was away my truck had not been in the driveway which I believe was the mystery. Anyways, I responded to her text 4 days later stating " Havent been to church because I am in Aspen, Colorado". She responded immediately with " Wow lucky you ". An hour later I decided to call her at work. When "Lucy" answered the phone she sounded excited. We chatted about my trip for a bit. Then she said she thought something was wrong bcuz I never miss Church. How would she know how often I go to church unless she paying attention? While saying goodbye she stated she was happy that I called her from Aspen. Later that evening I checked my emails and found 2 from her. One was sent b4 I texted her back. It was the same as the text I received earlier that week. The second email was sent after we had spoken. It said something like.. "Disregard the previous email, you just called me :) Colorado sounds beautiful. See you at church." Since I have returned I have noticed her staying the nite at home often. "Lucy" hasnt stayed the nite out more than twice a week. I know she still is seeing him just not as often. It may have something to do with his work or the wheels are falling off of the relationship. It is a mystery... The first Sunday back at Church I could only attend the first sermon so I dont know if she went or not. Yesterdays sermon I had to play the bass and she wasnt there. Later that evening I had seen her come home with her family from somewhere. After a while I decided to text her. " Come outside and chat with me. " A half hour later she texts me stating that she had been working all day at her dads car show and fell asleep and now running late. A few minutes after she comes out of the house and jumps into her car. As she is pulling away she calls me. We chat for a few seconds and she says she call me later or tommorow. I responded "whenever". You have to admit that something does not add up here George. The women I speak to about this are baffled. I am baffled. Is Lucy gonna pull the ball away again? What is my best plan of attack to really understand what her motive is? I cant just straight out ask her. I suppose I can see what happens the next few weeks. The ball is back in her court once again. Or should I say the football is back in her hands again? :/ I believe the invite for chatting face to face was a step shy of asking for a meeting for coffee. Oh yeah, b4 I forget, I sent her a few pics from my trip and she emailed me back asking me if I was going back to Aspen. While in Aspen I did mention that I was getting job offers and talked about how much I loved it there. And for the record I cant think of any cities that start with the letter "A". Gratiot avenue is a looooong street. Is the city you speak of in the state of Michigan? George thanks again, Take care buddy. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Charlie Brown Our Suggestion: Hi Charlie Brown, She does seem to be playing "Lucy" with you. But, as Charlie knows-- it is difficult to give up the game. Waiting a few weeks is a good idea. She may simply want to be friends and nothing more. Think about how that would affect you. But who knows, people are not easy to figure out. She definitely is not. Look into your own heart and decide how you feel about her. Does it change often? Are you sure of what you feel? As far as the city... I am not mentioning it by name for your privacy, but yes it is in Michigan (where Gratiot County is located.) The "A" city has a private college with the same name and is on the Pine River. Had a friend there once. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
