shes in jailSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: my girlfriend of over a year is in jail for credit card theft. She was sentenced to 3mo. and is to be released in a week. I couldnt afford the bills and rent by myself when she went in so I had to go to another town to stay with mutual friends of ours for a while. Since day one she says ive been cheating with a friend of hers. It is completely untrue and I havent touched another girl since we've been together. I havent been able to talk to her or visit her in some time now. She is so jealous though I dont know if she wants to be with me when she gets out. I know she has to stay in the town we live in due to probation. But I can take a higher paying job in the town I was living in. I dont know if I should stay here and maybe be heartbroken or think of myself and move again and take this job. Im in kind of a time critical situation and dont know what to do. I love her with all my heart and was planning on asking her to marry me when she got out. But her lack of contacting me is messing with my head and I dont want to stick around just to get hurt for doing absolutely nothing. Our Suggestion: First of all, in this situation you do not want to ask her to marry you. Things are not settled down enough in your lives. She didn't even contact you, so that should tell you how much she thinks of you which isn't much. If you have to make a decision immediately, my advice is to take the higher paying job in the other town. If things improve with your friend, you can always quit and move back with her. Good luck!
