Says he just got out of a nasty relationship, but is it just an excuse?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: He appeared to like me. Our friendship started based on the fact that we stared at eachother so much. I've been pretty open about my attraction to him, without stating it plainly. I gave him flowers and complimented him often. He gave all the tell-tale signs of when a boy likes a girl (exagerated agression, humor, etc.) He even touched me on occassion (on the shoulder)and pays special attention to me. But when I asked if I could finally hold his hand, he rejected me and said he had just got out of a bad relationship and wasn't read to look for another relationship. He apologized, told me I was pretty, and said he definately wanted to be friends. He seemed to be attracted to me, so it struck me as weird that he wouldn't even hold my hand. Is he using the bad relationship excuse to get out of my flirtations because he's not attracted to me, or is he being honest? It seemed so much like he was attracted to me. Do you think I have a chance if I stay friends with him? We still stare into eachother's eyes for prolonged periods of time, so I'm very confused. Does it sound like he's attracted to me and just scared of relationships right now, or does it sound like he's not attracted to me? Our Suggestion: Certainly he is attracted to you. Just give him time to get over the past relationship. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
