He always complimented me, supported me, and loved me so much more than I could ever imagine. Only, I just never felt the same spark he did. We dated for 8 months and, yes, we had our ups and downs, but we always seemed to make it through. I am the type of person to play "hard to get" and I seemed to feel like he'll never leave me and I don't truly love him so "why worry?" Yes, you could call this taking advantage of him but I didn't see it. Until two weeks ago when he says that he doesn't feel the same way about me as he used to. Wow, that was my ultimate wake-up call...Now, I realize how I treated him and how good I really had it. He wants to come over this weekend so we can hang out as "friends". Only, I don't want to (maybe) date him again if I don't truly love him. Because in those 8 months, I felt terrible every time I told him that I loved him...What should I do in this situation? I don't want to live a lie again. Thanks! Our Suggestion: You have two ways to go. One is to stop seeing him. The other is to see him as friends.
