Helping a Friend who was Cheated On Suggest Advice Do you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My best friend recently broke up with her boyfriend (she had been with him for four years).They seemed like the perfect couple. He cheated on her in all imaginable ways and now she is really hurt. I don't know what to do to help her. What do you tell a person that has so much pain? Our Suggestion: Just about every human being gets cheated on at least once in life, it's one of those cruel lessons we have to go through. Just look at all the movies and novels about the subject. Remind her that it is making her stronger, that all sorts of famous people have had this happen and then went on to great better relationships. Time will heal the wound and she'll find someone much better for her.
