I don't know muchSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Everything was going great. We went on a cruise together and had a blast. We planned to go to the a Super Ball Party together and got us Jerseys. We've talked about kids, wedding rings, parenting, just about everything serious. The night before the Super Ball he breaks up with me telling me we're just different people. We're from different worlds. He's 28 and I'm 23 the same age as his ex. He's from Brooklyn and I'm from the suburbs, but he said he always loved the nature and wanted to get out of the city. His family love me, my family loves him. Although he's graduating soon and starting a new job, I've always been there for him. Two nights before we broke up he left a text asking why I haven't called him all day. I told him I forgot my phone at home which I often do. I've been working on finishing eating a single hot dog roll since we broke up and 3 days later, I haven't finished half. I don't know what happened. I don't know what I should do. I don't know what I did. I don't know why I care so much. I don't know what's worst, the pain in my stomach or the pain in my chest. What do I do? Our Suggestion: The worst thing in a breakup is when you don't understand the reason. He owes you an in depth explanation and you should arrange a meeting where you will have time and privacy to do so. My guess is that he has gotten cold feet about the marriage. Maybe he is afraid to leave Brooklyn and go to the suburbs. You won't know unless you ask him. Perhaps you could offer to reduce the level of commitment so that you won't talk about marriage anymore. This might be a stressful time in his life and he needs more space in your relationship. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
