Tug-O-War in my headSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hi, Um, okay. I'm a fifteen year old girl in grade 10. During the last bit of the fourth (last) term in 2007, I recently became friends with this one guy in grade 11. Let's call him DJ. He's gonna be seventeen. We hung out as a group: 3 girls and 4 guys. Exams were over for us but we still came to school and watched movies in the hall together. That's where it all started. DJ and I became quite attached to each other. I would always put my head on his shoulder or he would always hold me. To me, it didn't feel like a friendly hold, it felt like an intimate one. He always tickled me and picked me up in the bridal style fashion. So yeah, time went by. Since last year everyone talked about us being an item when we weren't. This year, almost the whole school talks about us. He told me that he really likes me, like a boyfriend to girlfriend kind of like. I hated to say it, but I fell for him. Yesterday was Valentine's Day. It was the day that I asked him to be my boyfriend. And get this, he agreed! Today was our official day as boyfriend and girlfriend. No one knows that we're for real besides two of my friends. I've always wanted to kiss him and even give him a hickey. Only problem is, I don't have the courage. Here are my questions: 1. Is it right more me to do something like that? I already asked him to be my boyfriend. Should I wait for him to make the first move and kiss me and become non-sexually intimate with me? (Just to note, he's never kissed anyone or been kissed by anyone. I have though) 2. How should I go about doing this? I don't want to seem too forward and I don't want to embarrass him. I want us to be known but what if I break something so delicate between us? Thanks so much for reading this. Our Suggestion: Start off by hugging him whenever you see him. Then kiss him on the cheek. Then hold hands. Soon you will be ready for kissing. Don't be shy about this, he will be happy you are taking the lead because he is new at all this. Good luck!
