Ex girlfriend is a daily problemSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My problem is confusing for me. Yes, i am sortof a naturally jealous person. But it has never been to this extent. I am a sophomore in high school and my first love and boyfriend is a senior. So is his ex girlfriend. My boyfriend and i knew eachother while he was dating his ex, at one point he broke up with her for me but then got back together with her a week later. A summer pasted and she finally broke up with him. Now we have been dating for alomost 6 months, but his girlfriend only broke up with him a month before he asked me out. Soon after she realized her mistake and has been trying to get back with him ever since. They are in six classes together and have all the same friends. She posts pictures online of them cuddling at parties i did not attend (hes appologized for that incident). She calls and texts him all the time when i am around. I try not to look at his phone beacuse i trust him. But she is constantly talking to him and i feel like their relationship (which went on for over a year) is thrown in my face daily. Some times i think he talks to her more than he talks to me! Ive had conversations with him about it before but he insists he just wants to be friends with her. But When we are together and her name lights up on the caller ID screen my heart sinks. Its come to a point where i dont say anything beacuse it is a dead-end conversation and i dont want to be "naggy". He knows how i feel. And Im not the kind of person that would tell him to stop being friends with her. It kills me and i just want her out of the picture! I know im being insecure but is it normal to be jealous in this situation? How do i make sure it doesnt ruin my relationship? Our Suggestion: It is quite normal to be jealous in a situation like this. He is talking with her too much and not enough with you. Perhaps you could strike a compromise with him that he will only talk to her once a day or once every other day. This is very difficult to deal with since he already knows how you feel about it. He is being selfish. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
