Is there hope?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My ex-boyfriend of 4 years broke up with me about 7 months ago. He said he lost interest in the relationship but that he loves me and always will, he even has my name tattoed on him. At first all I did was beg him, call him, and text him, I wanted to know if we would ever get back together which I know was a mistake I should of gave him time to think about the situation but I never did! but I was so desperate. After a while of bugging him, I stopped with the questions and just became his friend. We were together mostly everyother day and texted eachother all day. He's not the type to show emotions but there was times he would accidently tell me that i had no idea how hard this was for him or I will catch him looking at me with sad eyes, which leads me to believe his love hasn't changed, but he wont give us a 2nd chance i know he just needs time to see what he wants, which i should have gave him that time since the beginning. So i stopped all contact with him a few days ago, I wanted to give him a chance to miss me for once and think about things, this will be the first time in 4 years plus the 7 months we have been hanging out that were actually going to be apart, Am I doing the right thing? What should my next step be? Our Suggestion: When you freeze out a friend/exlover to see if they will miss you you are taking a big chance that they will decide that they enjoy the separation. It's only been a few days of separation now, so you haven't gone too far with it. Give it another few days so that it adds up to a week of separation. If he hasn't contacted you by then you will have to decide how much you want him. If you still want him a lot, then re-contact him and tell him you still want to be friends. Consider the possibility of separating from him and seriously ask yourself if you are chasing him because of love or is it just frustration. Think about this while you are waiting to re-contact him.
