Not sure why I cheatedSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I am in a great relationship but we have had to go long distance for a while. He has tried hard to stay in touch with me during this period. But the experience I am having during this period is really difficult and he canīt relate to it. I try to explain things that are happening in my life now and he tries to listen. But it is obvious he canīt relate. I am all alone here and lonely. I cheated with somebody ... everything except intercourse ... I resisted many times, and made efforts to avoid him, because I actually really liked him, but he managed to find me when I wasnīt expecting to ever see him again and then I gave in. I think I really needed the affection. Okay, wanted the affection. I will not see this guy again and feel it wouldnīt help to tell my boyfriend. I love him and want to stay together and I think it would just hurt him. I donīt think he would understand. But maybe because I donīt really understand either. I am scared that I will feel distant from him after this if I donīt tell. Our Suggestion: Since you are in a great relationship, tell your boyfriend what you have done. Do it in person. Trust is the most important thing in a relationship. You can only have trust through honesty. You run obvious risks by confessing, but it is worth it. As to why you cheated... you said it... you wanted affection. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
