Our Suggestion: Since you are best friends with her you should be able to discuss your first question with her. She is the one who knows if she wants the relationship to work. My guess is that she does, otherwise why would she be with you? Every couple progresses at different speeds because everyone is unique. I would think that you need to discuss this with her also. Ask her if she wants you to make the first move and then let her decide if she is ready. She will probably say yes or ask you to be more specific.
