don't know what to thinkSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Me and my girlfriend just broke up after half a year. One saturday we were fine and had a great time, told each other we loved each other, you know all that good stuff. Then monday comes around and she says she wants to break up because she doesnt have the same feelings for me anymore. So im shocked and depressed and dont know what happened in those two days. So a day goes bye and im dealing ok. Twice during the day she approaches me to ask me how im doing. That night she texted me seeing if i was alright. we started chatting and she asked if i would be mad if she started dating someone else immediately. I told her i would mostly be mad because she would have obviously lied/hid a reason she wanted to break up and that we had talked many times about how after a break we would be devastated if the other person didnt take a break and we promised to not do it to each other. She then tells me that she got two offers today! I ask if she'll tell me who, not that i will like do anything im just curious. It turns out to be two of my best friends and one of them kissed her. One day after we broke up. He apparently started kissing her and she stopped him when he got down to her neck. So im kind of devastated and she's telling me how sorry she is. But what i havent said yet is this guy who kissed her has been her best friend for as long as we've been dating. I've always been a little concerned about them falling for each other but i never took it too far because i trusted her so much. They had both told me how they could never think sexually of each other and are just friends and would never hook up. SO the next day she comes to me and hugs me in the school hall and KISSES my cheek. She apologizes for making me upset. So that night she texts me again and says that she talked to one of her girlfriends who told her that this guy (her best friend) has liked her for at least 6 months and she apologizes for being the "only one too naive to see it". So then i tell her what i think of this guy who she is so defensive of. He had recently cheated on his girlfriend while she was in france because he thought she would never find out. ANd now he starts kissing her a day after we break up. She gets mad as says "you cant control who i date." So im like "shit, they are going to hook up after all. i was right the whole time. my worst fear is coming true." then i ask her if she would AT LEAST wait to get with him cause it would kill me and she says "we could just not tell you." and im like "how the f*** would i not find out!?". So today she comes to me and says she's sorry for the way she acted the night before. Then one of our mutual friends tells me she said that she didnt want to hook up with this guy she was just mad at me for "attacking" him. Then another one of our mutual friends I talked to about it tells her, after promising me he wouldnt say anything, that i still love her. So now she's like "will. i told you. you'll always mean the world to me but i dont feel the same way about you." And im like "i told him not to say antyhing to you! Dammit!". She asks "but do you actually still love me." and i say "yeah. I'm sorry. I cant help it." and she responds "its ok."As an update, she called me today to tell me that this guy who likes her called her today and confessed his loved for her and that he's had a crush on her for 4 years. But she told him because they were such good friends she didnt think they would ever work as a couple. And thats where i am now. So i dont know what to do!? I really want to get back with her. she gave no reasons for breaking up with me, and is sending all these signals that she still DOES have feelings for me. I mean, we are talking CONSTANTLY. I still walk with her to and from classes and we joke around. So i dont know if i have a shot or not. Or if she wants this other guy now. OR WHAT?!? Im so confused and nothing makes sense to me. What should i do? I do still have extremely strong feelings for her even after how awful she has been to me during these past 4 days and how much she's thrown my hopes around. Sorry this is long but i really need help. What should i do? Our Suggestion: It does seem like she still likes you. Take advantage of that to get closer to her and maybe she will start liking you again. After all, it's only been a short time that you have been separated. She may change her mind again. Meanwhile, give her a small bouquet of flowers, some dark chocolate, write her a poem, and ask her out to dinner. Borrow some money from your parents if you are low on cash. Perhaps this will renew her feelings for you. I hope so. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
