Second chance or New beginings?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hello, my question is a bit long but here we go :P...i'm an 18 year old guy and i was going out with this girl for like a year and a half, i thought we both loved each other until this past summer where she spent the whole time with her friends and just basically shut me out the whole summer (i only saw her no kidding 3-4 times in 2 months and never us alone)..but she didn't think that this was "fair" to me so she dumped me..i, having not felt like i'd had a girlfriend basically all summer got back into the dating game and a month later i had another girlfriend who had her own drama with her but this isn't about that i sorted that out lol..i've been dating this girl for about a month now and we definitely don't have the same chemistry as i had with the first girl but it's ok.. now a couple days ago my ex sends me a random txt saying that she still loves me and that she's learned from her mistakes and that she still wants me back. we txt back an forth all night and i say i'm gonna stay with my new girlfriend..but now i'm not so sure..i've been having second thoughts about that and i'm not sure if this new affection is just because most of her friends have left leaving her with nothing to do or if it is in fact genuine. So to sum up my dilemma is, do i stay with this ok girl i'm with now and lose my ex forever..or go back with my ex and be a jerk to this new girl who really likes me... input if any would be great, thanks again :) Our Suggestion: Has she really learned from her mistakes? Will she stay with you? If so, and since you still care for her. And you prefer her to your new girlfriend, you will be doing the new girl no favor by staying with her. Tell her you are still in love with your ex and you are going back to her. Do this gently and in person. Your girlfriend deserves to know the truth directly from you. Good luck!
