My friend is sure...Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Recently, my friend told me that she thinks a guy in her 8th period class might like her. Why? Because he smiles at her. A lot. And shyly. Did I mentiopn the word 'A LOT'? And he talks to her alot, too. Well, that's what she said, anyway. And she said that last week, when she caught him looking at her, he blushed (SO WHAT?). So do you think this kid actually likes her? Cause I don't. First of all, he's pretty popualar. And the last girl he dated was one of the most popularist girls in the grade. And my friend is ..um... you know? Like, um....kinda socially dead (so am I, by the way)? Why would he make the jump from a super-popular girl to a slightly ugly, heavy-weighted, not so smart or popular girl? And also, about those smiles he gives her? He's always smiling. Like, a couple weeks ago, J was slamming him against the lockers (it looked pretty painful) and he was smiling. What does that prove to you? Write Back A.S.A.P. please. Sorry it's sooo long. Our Suggestion: Like you said "He's always smiling." Popular people smile a LOT. That's part of the reason they are popular. That is why YOU should smile all the time at everyone. That is if you want to feel good and become popular yourself. Anyhow, I think he is smiling at her because he smiles at everyone. She should not take it personally and think he likes her specially. On the other hand, whether he likes her or not she should smile back at him. If by any chance he does like her especially, this would be a sign to him that she likes him. As a friend, it is your job to give her good and kind advice. Explain to her that maybe he likes her but she should not jump to conclusions. She should smile back and see what happens. Good luck!
