No Love Poems = He Doesn't Love MeSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Alright well me and my boyfriend have been dating for a year and when he says "I love you" sometimes i don't believe him. His actions in person are great, but he absolutely doesn't like talking on the phone and doesn't like making little bitty poems every now and then. We barely see each other and my dad thinks that love has an age. And we're always texting, which gets boring cause he doesn't talk much. I don't feel loved anymore and I do open up to him and talk about it, but it ends up to where we both start arguing. I've wrote him poems and love notes, but i don't get them in return. We have broken up before and I thought maybe that's why he doesn't like writing poems or love notes, so I told him that if that's the reason then i understand. I give but i don't get. Should I just tell him I'm fine with him not showing he loves me or just hope and pray he'll write me something? Our Suggestion: Some people simply don't write love poems. Yes, you like to write poetry. That's wonderful! Not everybody is a poet. If everyone was identical with the exact same skill then the world would be a really boring place. Some people like going for walks. Some people like holding hands. You need to learn to appreciate him for who he is - not to try to force him to be a poet. Many people aren't fond of phones, as well. I know many people who hate talking on the phone, and I am one of them. So it is also unfair to judge his emotions solely because he doesn't like to be on the phone. However, if you care for someone, then you do want to BE with them. That has nothing to do with phone calls or with somehow becoming a poet. The point of a relationship is to spend time with each other and really enjoy that time. So the question is - why are you NOT spending time together? Do you not have fun when you're together? That is the real issue here, and one you need to work on resolving. Good luck! Lisa --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
