Here we go again...Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Well, the title says it all. I've met another girl. Well, not really met, we've known each other for two years, but since her best friend and my best friend started dating we've been seeing a lot more of each other and talking more. I'll admit, it's really nice. She's really sweet, and cute, and we have a lot more in common than I thought we would. now here's my dilemma. the last time I got this close to a girl this fast, I got hurt REALLY bad, and I'm sorry to say I'm a little sceptical about it this time. Also, my luck with girls has never been good. NEVER, and this has the makings of yet another situation that's gonna kick me in the forehead. I mean sure, she doesn't seem to not enjoy talking me, but she just recently broke up with her boyfriend whom she told me she felt like she loved and doesn't appear to be interest in being anything but friends....at least with me anyway. I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking this like I usually do, I just don't want to get emotionally involved in someone who just gonna break my heart again. I know, that sounds really girly, but that's just how I feel. any suggestions? Our Suggestion: You've both been hurt recently, so it's no surprise if you are both tentative about getting involved again. I would work on the friendship aspect for now, and not 'overthink' it, as you mentioned. Spend time together in a light way, doing things you both enjoy. Have good, deep talks, and see how you feel about something closer later on. Take it slow. You don't need to decide right now what to do. Be careful, though. Don't pour your entire heart into this girl, just in case she A. isn't ready to be involved right now, or B. doesn't look at you that way. Just leave the door open. If something grows, then great! But don't force it. I hope things work out, but either way, it sounds like you might have a nice friend in the making. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
