Our Suggestion: I think it's very possible that she cares for him, but does she care more for him than she does for you? Only she knows the answer to that. So just ask her, do you care more for Z than you do for me? She may or may not tell you the truth, but you sound like a pretty smart guy; I think you'll know if she's lying.
