Okay, I am fifteen and I am lost. I am an avid reader, and I enjoy going to most of my classes. Alot of guys seem turned off by this. I just don't get it. Are they intimidated, immature, or am I just really weird? I am not the most beautiful girl at school, but I'm not hidious either. I just want to know what is going on. Please help me, any advice is better than none.



Our Suggestion:
Immature boys are often intimidated by bright, intelligent girls. From my experience, they start grow out of it by young adulthood. Some even learn to enjoy the company of a smart woman, and seek them out.

That's not to say that all boys will flee the smart gal. Boys who are secure in themselves should appreciate you, and those are the ones worth your interest, in any case. Keep your eyes open for this kind of guy.

It will be okay. Hang in there until these boys grow up a bit, and just enjoy being who you are. Being bright will stand you in good stead in life. Don't hide your light for anyone. :)
