If so, then you need to either try harder to abide by your rules, or talk to her honestly about how hard this is for you. Let her know it's too hard to maintain that sort of distance when you are both forced to be around each other. It's better to be forthright and honest than to seem like a stalker. See what she thinks of you two talking, and even of your staring at her - maybe she would be okay with being friends. Maybe she might even still have feelings for you.
