Our Suggestion: People mature at vastly different rates. One person might not be ready for a family when they are 30 or older. Other people might be quite happy settling down to a wife and kids when they are barely 20. However, if this guy is 17, he is a minor. It is illegal for you, as an adult, to have relations with him. I would stay good friends with him but not get serious right now. Wait until he is 18 and you've been with him for several months before you get more serious - for both of your sakes.
