He's a Jerk, I Want Him BackSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hi. I had been going out with this guy for 8 months, long distance. We saw each other about every two weeks, and I spent all summer (2 months) with him in his hometown. Anyways, he ended up moving 5 hours away from home to be with me. Well, he had been here about 3-4 weeks and started being a total jerk. He used to be so nice. So I would get frustrated and end things cuz I would start to feel I didn't deserve it. Then though, I'd start to miss him and want him back. We went through this cycle quite a few times, and then last Tuesday we broke up and haven't gotten back together since. He had told two of the girls that I know through him that I'm a "psycho." I still don't understand what went wrong though, and would really like to get him back somehow. Or at least make him see what I mean to him, and for him to want me back. How could I go about doing this, without sounding desperate? Our Suggestion: OK, this is hard, but listen to me. This guy keeps being a JERK to you and you keep going back because you remember the nice times. EVERY guy has nice times when they are trying to suck up to you. And if a guy then has JERK times because they are in essence a jerk, you shouldn't stay with them!! Not only is he a jerk but he is badmouthing you to others. Yes, you miss him. Yes, you are lonely. But NO guy is worth dealing with those bad times for. There are millions and millions of other guys out there who will treat you very well and make you feel valuable. There is NO reason that you should be dating a jerk just because you're lonely during a breakup. I have tons of tips on my site about getting through a breakup. Work through it and make yourself strong - and find yourself someone more deserving of you. Do NOT go back to a jerk just because you're lonely.
