Visitor's Question: my boyfriend and i went out for lunch whilst having lunch he told me that someone called him up and told him that his ex wife was going away for good and taking the children with her and he did not know. i then asked him who is this person and he stated is a friend he has known for years. i then asked him her name he got so defensive and told me he doesnt even know her name or what she looks like i said if it is some one you know for years how come she can call you tell you this and you dont know name or remember what she looks like? he started with just now you will ask me where she works everything he stated then this person helped him out during his divorce and knew what he went through. was i wrong in asking who the person was? something to me did not mesh. what do you think about this am i putting more than is needed it sounds weird let me know. Our Suggestion: First off, I really doubt an ex wife can run off with the kids without telling the husband. That sounds pretty illegal to me, to not even notify him. I would really have him talk to a lawyer about it. Second, a boyfriend/girlfriend shoudl be best friends and want to share their lives with each other. So you shouldn't have had to been prodding him for details, he should have told you about this woman! He should have said something like "Cheryl, that girl I used to work with over at the insurance company, just called, and do you know what she'd heard?? ..." Instead he dodges and lies and covers up. That is NOT right. When best friends talk, they love sharing information and are happy when one of them wants to know more about something.
