Dating on the ReboundSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I recently ended a long term relationship. I think it is too soon to commit to another man so I have decided to go out with different guys, but only as friends. The bad (or good) thing is that I already kissed one of them, but he knows I don't want a boyfriend right now. How am I supposed to date guy friends without taking it seriously??? Am i supposed to tell them I'm dating other people because I don't want to commit? Am I supposed to turn down others' requests to go out with just my favorite? Is it ok if I kiss one of them or should I just stop this dating and wait until i get completely over my stupid ex? Our Suggestion: You are definitely right in wanting to get through the rebound period before doing any serious dating. That is critical in making sure you recover from your ex and are really ready for the new relationship when it happens. Dating isn't necessarily a serious occupation! Some people date looking for a husband/wife. But most people date just to have fun! All you do is tell people up front that you're not interested in anything serious. Believe me, there are MILLIONS of people out there who date just for fun at this point in time. Sure, you can kiss a casual date if you want. There is nothing wrong with dating for fun. There's nothing wrong with telling people "I'm just out to have fun for now"! If they want a commitment, they can go elsewhere. You need to do what is right for you, and they need to respect that. If they are really interested in more, then they can hang around and wait for you to be ready for that. But if ANYONE pressures you, tell them to take a hike. They would NOT be the person for you! --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
