I Want Her Back as a GirlfriendSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: It has been about 6 months since my girfriend and I broke up. It was pretty mutual. About 2 or 3 months ago though we kinda got close and it seemed like the relationship was picking up again. Then that ended and we both want to be really good friends. She's able to handle it more than I. I can't want to only be friends and anytime we hang out I want her back. I really want to be friends and for that reason too. I don't want to try and be friends hoping that we'll get back together. How do I be friends in this situation? Our Suggestion: The best relationships are between best friends. If you guys are so good as friends, you need to ask yourself why things seem to fail when you are dating. Is it because you don't communicate enough? What was the issue? If you really want to try again, sit down and talk with her and really talk about what went wrong. Talk about ways you both could address the problems. But if you really do both find there are issues that you can NOT resolve, then friendship should be the good alternative and you should understand why it has to be that way. If it's a case of you being willing to work on the issue and she's not willing, it might be good to take a break for a few months so that you can really get over her and move on with your life. Yes, it's great to be friends with an ex! But sometimes it takes a while to make the transition. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
