He's Not Making a MoveSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Last year I met a guy in one of my classes. I liked him from the first time I met him. As the year went on we got closer and would talk and sit by each other in the classes that we had together. He would always park his car next to mine at school and walk me to my locker and car after school. During the school year he had a family tragedy and I ended up helping him through a really difficult time in his life which resulted in us hanging out more. He is very shy and has never had a girlfriend, when we go out it ends up just being the two of us and he always pays for me no matter what. This year I went to a black tie event with him and his family and his grandparents already knew all about me. Later that evening his grandpa pulled me aside and told me how much his grandson had appreciated what I had done for him during his difficult time. Also, his younger brother (who I have never met) once came up to me and asked what school I went to and then knew who I was right away. I have also heard that my name comes up at the dinner table often. Neither one of us has much dating experience, so it is hard for me to tell if he considers me to be more than a friend. This has been going on for over a year, why doesn't he make a move? Our Suggestion: Undoubtedly the poor guy is petrified of driving you away! Why does HE need to make the first move if you're sure you like him? He is doing everything but dropping down onto one knee to show you how much he likes you. He is inviting you to events, paying for you, you name it. And it doesn't sound like you've given him any signals in return that you want more. Don't wait around for "signs". It is your job as the interested person to take some action here. So take it! I have advice here - http://www.romanceclass.com/miscr/howto/friendlover.asp but I assume you guys are hugging hello and goodbye, yes? If not, start right away! If you are, then kiss him on the cheek hello and goodbye as an added bonus when you hug. And then after a few weeks of that, move the kiss to a gentle, friendly one on the lips. I think you'll find he responds to that. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
