He said he loved me but wanted to be alone for a while. Then I gave birth to his son. Now he's in jail and says he would like for us to be a family someday. I love this man more than words can say. I have his baby. I dream about him and it kills me. How do I deal with this? Our Suggestion: Lots of people date long distance and have little hope of ever being together. You're dating long distance and you *know* he'll be available in a set amount of time to be with you! And for many people, jail is a wake-up call to turn their lives around and focus on what is important. Hopefully that is the case for him. Don't think of these dreams as "killing you". It's a bad thing to think about negative words in conjunction with your emotions about someone you love! Yes, you MISS him because of your dreams. So find a healthy way to focus those energies. Write him letters. Make pictures for him or something he can decorate his room with. Ask him his favorite color and make blankets for the baby with those colors.
