Getting Closer to my Female FriendSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Alright, there's this girl who I've known for a little more than a year. We didn't talk a lot at first but we grew as friends. During this time I realized how great of a person she is and I think I've really liked her for maybe a year now. We never got to the point of REALLY close friends like hanging out on weekends. Actually, we only talked maybe a few times a day at school and not even that long. Still, we considered each other good friends. My mindset is that if something more was to happen between us, it would have happened by now. I thought there was a couple times I made it obvious I liked her as more than friends, but I don't know how she took it. Anyways, since my mindset is nothing will happen, I thought I'd be fine, but I'm not. I literally can't stop thinking about her. Everything reminds me of her and literally, she crosses my mind at least once every hour or so. It's driving me crazy, and has been. The reason I didn't say anything in the first place was because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable and I didn't want to lose her as a friend. Still, like I said, things are bad for me and my mind! I want to let her know how I feel, not even neccesarily looking for something more from her, I'm thinking it will help me by exposing my feelings, like a "had to get it off my chest" sorta thing. The problem is, I don't know how to tell her, and I don't know how she'll take it. If it drives me crazy only having her as a friend, how bad would it be not having her as anything? So, how should I go about exposing my feelings? Our Suggestion: I really wouldn't just blurt out your feelings. This rarely works well. Instead, SHOW her your feelings. Start taking her out to movies as friends. Start giving her hugs hello and goodbye. I have a ton of tips on the site explaining how to make this transition. Work on it slowly but surely. That way she won't get scared off, and you are most likely to succeed. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
