Visitor's Question: I am 20 years old and have been in a serious relationship with my boyfriend for 8 years, we have always been really close and we practically have grown up together. My parents got divorced when i was 15 and i had to move to a different school than him, which made things very difficult between us. During my senior year in highschool when i was 18, my boyfriend called me one night, and told me he had cheated on me with a 15 year old girl, but that they had just kissed. This was the first time anything bad had ever happened between us, and we hardly spoke for 3 weeks.. he didn't want much to do with me. Anyways a month or so after this, i began to cheat on him with one of my close guy friends at my school. The problem im having is, i kept seeing this guy on the side and eventually we became very serious, and we fell deeply in love. . but i still have my boyfriend of 8 years. Neither one of them know that i am seeing the other one, and i have been doing this now, for almost 4 years. I see my boyfriend of 8 years on the weekends, because he works during the week, and i see my new boyfriend of 4 years during the week. I lie to both of them, and i cannot stop cheating, i love them both so much and i won't let go of either one. I know what im doing is wrong, but i have fallen into a pattern of some sort.. Neither one of them are seeing anyone except me, and i have only been with the two of them, so it's not like im running around on both of them. I need advice quick! Please. Our Suggestion: You need honesty. That is the most important thing you can have in any relationship. You caused the situation, so it's your responsibility to handle it.
