He Lied - I'm Deceiving MyselfSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Help me i dont know what to do! the other day i broke up with my bf of 2 years because he lied to me but then i relaized how we can work it out and when i went back to him he said that we should just take a break and see what happens and that he doesnt want a relationship anymore. you dont understand how perfect we were for each other and we have to much to just end! i dont know what to do its driving me crazy and its all i think about. i feel so hurt, what can i do to get us back together?? everything i do reminds me of him and prom is coming up in a month and so i dont even know if we're gonna go with eachother anymore. i have no one to talk to because no one understands. im afraid if i let him take this break and go with his friends more then he'll forget about me and drive us further apart. maybe we do need this break but how can i be ok with it without hurting so bad? do breaks make love ones further apart or will eventually lead back together? Our Suggestion: The most important thing you can have in any relationship is honesty - honesty with yourself, and honesty with each other. You have already violated both of those. Your boyfriend lied to you. That is a serious issue. Then you lied with yourself and said it was all "perfect". Obviously it was NOT perfect if he was lying to you and then took off as soon as he had an excuse to. Yes it's hard to accept - but if you can't handle the reality, then the relationship will NOT work. The only way you can get this to work is to BE honest. Talk with him about the problems. Talk to him about why he lied. If your solution is to keep lying and claiming that things were perfect, it's never going to work. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
