Getting Closer to my Female FriendSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I am 18 yrs old in love with a girl of same age. We are very good friends that's why I didn't want her to know this. Recently some friends of mine have told her about this so I had to talk to her about the matter. She told me that she does not want to tell anything right now & made me promise that I won't stop talking to her. But still I can't talk to her. Whenever I see her a feeling of guilt gets me, I don't know why. I am really obsessed with her & can't stop thinking about her. I know what I did was idiotic. I have only a month or so as it is my last year in high school & maybe I won't get another chance to meet her. WHAT SHOULD I DO ? Our Suggestion: It is VERY very common for people to fall in love with their good friends! Being a good friend means you really like someone. The best types of loves are the ones where you were best friends first and the love grew deeper and deeper. It sounds like she still likes you a great deal, but that you now won't talk to her because she knows of the depth of your feelings for her. There's nothing wrong with loving a friend. Most of us love our best friends in one way or another. So accept it! You love her. She's your friend and you care about her. So talk to her. If you ignore her and never talk to her again, you WILL of course lose her. You need to maintain that contact. So work on it, talk with her, show her that you care for her. You need to find out what barrier SHE sees to dating. Maybe she's just waiting until high school is over! Or maybe she doesn't want to date until she gets to college. If you guys can keep your friendship going over the summer break, you never know what will happen. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
