Visitor's Question:
I have a friend that i just met last year. I felt very close to him and thought of him as a best friend and he thought of me as a sister. I was thinking a lot about us and thought that we usually talked over the internet more than we did in person, and i see him 6 out of the 7 days and I was telling him that we should make an effort to be better friends in real life than we are online, and he got mad because he thinks that friendships just come naturally, and shouldn't be making an effort. Now we aren't talking and its devastating me. I feel like I just underwent a harsh breakup. But I don't want to be the one to go to him and talk about it so we can make up. What should I do?

Our Suggestion:
Why don't you want to be the one to go to him first? It seems to me that it doesn't matter who does what first, all that matters is that things are patched up so you can be friends again. By waiting on him, you're just prolonging the agony of the breakup. And he's already said that he's not one to do any work for a relationship, I don't see him coming back to you to solve this.

Start talking to him again. Pretend nothing at all happened and that you are back on track, and likely he will go along with it.

Good luck!
