We are both going to different bases soon and she broke up with me about a month ago. She said that she still wants to marry me someday but that since we both know we are not getting married right now, that breaking up will make it easier for us both when we leave. Now she is always hanging out with other guys and she just treats me like someone that she barely knows (doesn't return phone calls or e-mails). I feel like my heart is being torn in half and she doesn't seem to care in the least. Whats the deal? Our Suggestion: I would bet anything that your ex- is having horrible feelings herself, she's just doing a great job at not showing it. You don't break a relationship that's lasted this long without going through pain. So don't feel like you're the only one who's suffering. She is trying her best to make a true break of it and is pushing those feelings into the back of her mind so she won't feel miserable all the time. I strongly suggest that you try to do the same.
