I fell in love with my bestfriend, but never told him how I feltSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hi, Ive been in a really akward situation for a while now... I fell in love with my bestfriend, but never told him how I felt, and didnt plan to. Over christmas he told me he was in Love with me, but he has a girlfriend, so we agreed not to let anything happen. Which worked for about 2 months, against all my reasoning I ended up having an affair (of which I still feel very guilty about) but I truly believed he loved me, and would leave her. by the time I found out he was never going to leave her, I couldnt bear the thought of not seeing him, and continued anyway on this pathetic hope something might happen. He used to be so caring about me, and tell me how much he loved me or call me at all hours of the day to see if I was okay, and I can honestly say that I wouldnt be here now if it wasnt for him (I suffer clinical depression). but all of a sudden its like he has lost interest, we dont talk anymore, and I havent seen him since my before my brithday (3 weeks ago) and he doesnt tell me he loves me anymore when I say it him, he's changed so suddenly... I think this is the end, and I fear its because of 'another' woman, and he is lying to me and his girlfriend about her but I have no proof. I just cant bear the thought of living without him, its killing me to think about all the times he must have been lying to me, I feel so stupid, and hate myself even more for this whole situation...but I am still in love with him just as he used to love me and I dont know what I can do, he's all I think about. Please help, I wish he was the way he used to be. Our Suggestion: It's always horrible when one person wants the relationship to continue and the other person doesn't. And I personally think it's worse to be on the receiving end, as you are, because it's not like your feelings have changed one bit but the other person is suddenly no longer interested. Unfortunately, that's the way it goes. The only way you can get over him is to find yourself a rebound person, someone else to capture your thoughts so that you're not thinking of your old flame all the time. It'll be a meaningless fling, so find someone who you can dump easily. But find someone who will be friends with you afterwards. Some times the only way to get over someone is to find someone new.
