He made me change my old phone number because he thought too many guys used to call me. He also asks about my past too much. He doesn't want me to work around guys. He wants me to find a different job...Is this normal? what should I do? does he trust me? Our Suggestion: This is not normal behavior, nor is it acceptable behavior. He has no right to demand any of this from you, and if you allow it, he'll only get worse. No, he doesn't trust you at all. He is trying to narrow down your life until there's only him, but that's not good at all. You need someone who has trust and faith in you ... who will tell you to have a good time when you go out with the girls, instead of calling you every five minutes asking if you're dancing with some guy. You deserve to have someone in your life who will help you, not hold you down. And this guy's not only holding you down, he's applying the duct tape to keep you there. Normally I would recommend counselling or something along those lines to get someone away from being jealous, but this guy's so over the edge I think the best thing to do is leave and find someone new.
