Visitor's Question:
I have been with my wife (off and on) for the last 9 years. We have been married for only 1 of those years and ever since we married, the intimate part of our life has become null. We have awkwardly discussed the matter and she has mentioned that she is often tired, not in the mood, or just does not want to. It has gotten to the point to where we do not show any signs of affection towards each other at all. She brushes me off when I try to kiss her, gets embarrassed when I compliment her, and just "cold shoulders" me all together. We can still converse great, we watch movies together, have dinner together, and I am starting to think she only wants to be friends. Where should I go from here?

Our Suggestion:
Get yourself into marriage counselling. This needs to be fixed before it goes much further and ruins your relationship.

It's not uncommon for people to get married then fall into what they see as their role in the marriage, or go by their preconceived notions of what a marriage is like. And then things go in a tailspin because you no longer know how to relate to one another.

Marriage counselling will give you the tools to fix your relationship and come to an agreement on what it means to both of you and how it's different / same like your relationship before.

Don't give up. This is just a speedbump in your relationship, you'll soon be back to normal.
