How do heal from a broken heart?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: How do heal from a broken heart? What do you do when you feel betray? This happened over a year ago, a girl that I liked very much at the time who I comfort and treated really well after she broke up with her "jerK" boyfriend. Then we started dating for a while, then she just started to ignore me, then went back with the ex. It hurt me very much and of course there is MUCH more detail to it but I'm just trying to get to the point. Anyway, I found out she got back with the ex like four months later after she kept ignoring me, and then we didn't talk for about a year. Now she is apologizing for all the pain she put me through, but I don't know what to do. According to her, "You're too intimidating. I feel like I'm worthless when I'm around you just because how smart you are, you know what you want in life, and you going to have a promising future. You are too good for me and you are truly a gentleman like in those old fashion movies. You treated me so well and it made me fell arkward since no guy ever treated me that well before. I ignore you because I started to like you very much and i feel that it can't happen. I'll always remember how much pain I put you do. You'll always be in my heart, not just because we had "something" in the past, but because you are truly a great guy." I'm extremely flatter by this, but it still hurts very much, and maybe she's just trying to be nice, I'm not attracted to her mentally or physically anymore, I was never mad at her, I don't hold grudges against her. I even show empathy, because its understandable. I can't make her like me, she was telling me that she was going through personal problems which cause her to make poor decisions. Again, I don't hold grudges against her, I even want her to be happy and maybe we can be friends, but why am I still hurt by this? It's been over a year, I'm just trying to concentrate in school, college basketball, and my job and I don't want it to be affected, why is it taking so long to heal? Please help me, all I want is to be happy with myself again. Sorry for the repitition. Thank you for your time. God bless you Our Suggestion: Wait. The only way to get over a broken heart is to take the time to move on. Don't rush into anything. Just make sure you learned from the experience, but do not let it embitter you. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
