We have known each other for a few years and our families have become extremely close. Over the past year, his wife and I (who both like to flirt) have pushed the envelope on our flirting. Secretly touching legs and toes under the table, deep and long hugs with our spouses in the next room, even telling each other that we were meant to be together. Recently, we had a party and towards the end of the night and after a few too many drinks, we both expressed desire and love for each other. The next day, it felt like a high school relationship was begining. Meeting of eyes without saying anything, simple conversations, and normal life situations suddenly caused butterflies in my stomach. We are both happily married to each other's best friends. We love each other's children like they were our own. I don't think we could ever take the next step and cheat. However, I seemed to have fallen for my best friend's wife. She and I are so similar and have so much in common, it's like we were destine to be with each other, but our timing is horrible. You and she have allowed your natural feelings of close friendship to cross over the line into dangerous behavior. Somehow get the message to her that despite your strong attraction, there is too much chance of ruining the lives of many people by continuing the heavy flirtation.
