Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I been with this man for about 5 yrs. You could say we were together but he knew this woman before me (6yrs) and she ended up having his baby. We're not together but we mess around with each other. He tells me he's not with his baby's mother but really he is. I don't want to let him go, I want him to let me go.

My advice is why want he let me go? I mean were close friends since 5yrs he could at least tell me he's with her and I wouldn't have a problem with that because that's his baby's mother regardless but I would stop messing with him.



Our Suggestion:
I think the answer is that you should stop messing with him now. It shouldn't have anything to do with what he says or tells you. You *know* he's lying to you, and that he's cheating on this other woman. You know that he's a taken man and can't give you his full love or attention. He enjoys having you for 'fun on the side' and since he doesn't mind lying to people, he figures he'll lie to you both and use both of you. He's not likely to stop.

This isn't a good situation to be in at all. You deserve better than that. Tell him you need to find a man that is there for you 100% of the time, and then go find one. He definitely isn't the person for you to base your life on, if he's already lied this much to both of you.
