We have had a couple fights and got throught them, we even went 7 months without seeing each other when I was 15 I moved to the middle east, but we kept in touch online. He's never cheated on me, and I have never cheated on him. We just recently moved in together, and it's been great. Well, last week...he proposed!!! I was like of course, I love him so much, but my mom and me were talking on the phone, and she said it wasn't a good idea. I was like whoa!! She's always seemed to like Matt. She said we've been together since highschool, and neither one of us had much experience in the dating game, I was just dumbfounded, she told me that we would be divorced before we knew it. But I love him, and he loves me, and I know we are ment to be...should I marry him, against my mothers wishes? Our Suggestion: Your mother has a valid concern... one or both of you might feel that you were cheated out of dating experiences and seek other partners. However, if you and he are in love and have a good relationship you should go for it! Love isn't always easy to find for most people. One piece of advice is to hold off on having children until you are about 25. If you do divorce, there is no reason to put a child under that burden.
