Visitor's Question:
my girlfriend and i have been dating for five years now. we're 25. and about a month ago, i started catching her in lies. she said she was in one place, but when i said i would meet her there, she said i couldn't because she wasn't really there and that where she was i couldn't go. then just two day later, i wanted to meet up with her at her work for a drink, but she said no again, when she left, she said she had to take one of her g/friends home. turns out it wasn't her g/friend it was a guy, that worked with her. i was pissed, because i was in the parking lot watching it as it happened. and now about a month later she says they are just friends, and i'm crazy. just this past friday we were going to hang out, but i said not tonight because of work in the morning, and i caught her leaving a ber with this same guy!!! claiming still that they are just good friends. but she never introduced me with him and talks about how they get along really well. what's the deal? is she worth fighting over or should i call it quits? and she does say she loves me and wants to be with me/ marry me. i told her it's over but she keeps calling me telling me it's not like that. do you think theres anything between them? and she's drinking all the time with him and her friends, me not being around. Thank you, please help.

Our Suggestion:
She is showing you complete disrespect for lying to you.

Probably she is doing it because she thinks you will be jealous. But that just compounds her error, because when you find out she is lying it makes you even more suspicious.

Ask her directly whey she has been lying to you. No good relationship can last without honesty and trust. She has two strikes against her.

Tell her that she has to start being honest with you and introduce you to her friend (you can skip this if you don't like the idea). If you meet him you might not mind it so much if she goes out with him.

I've known men who are trusting enough to let their wife go on a short vacation with another man. It takes a strong personality to be able to do that.

Hope this turns out ok for you!
George
