Dump him Suggest Advice Do you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hi, how are you? I've been dating a boy for three years now, of and on. He's been lying to me about drugs since we first started dating. When I first found out, our of spite, I dumped him and starting seeing someone else. Ever since then (we were 15 years old) we've been spiting each other back and forth. Now, when he gets mad at me, he hurts me physically. Listen though, I always thought that I was smarter than this. Staying with him is wrong, I know it. I wish I could change the way we are now. What do I do? I can't leave him. The thought of him loving someone else hurts really bad. Our Suggestion: You may feel love for him, but you have a relationship that is not working. Either get some counseling and specifically address the physical abuse, or dump him. It is a losing situation to be with someone who is physically abusive. Is that what you want for the rest of your life... and knowing that it will probably get worse?
