Visitor's Question:
Hi,

Thank you for taking this question. I am so confused.

I am 30 and met a man 19 years my senior (divorced after 16 years, with 3 kids) on my way to on an international hiking trip on the airplane. He was with a friend. I was by myself. We had great chemistry, and flirted, and we traded contact information. It was one of the first times I had a wonderful conversation with a mature, but very active man. I e-mailed him after returning to follow up on a networking contact he provided to me, and asked him about his trip. He responded with a nice message, and offered his number again, along with a question about my trip. I later returned his message, and and let him know that I was going to be in town on a particular date. He responded with his networking contact for me to contact, and asked: coffee and conversation?. I responded again, and let him know when I would be available. He did not respond.

I understand that if he doesn't email or call, he's just not that into me, but I am sure why he didn't get back to me when he offered to get together. Did I do something wrong? Plus, I am getting ready to call his friend/client, and I know this person will get back to him, and I am very concerned about what he will think. Do you think he has just forgotten about me? Or just thinks I am too young? Or did I say something wrong in my email?

Thank you

Our Suggestion:
Email him and say that you're afraid that you missed an email from him. Remind him that you would love to go out for coffee and the date/time.

It's possible that you did miss an email, and even if not this gives him another opportunity to make the date with you.

Good luck!
George
