My advice is to ask him to hold your hand. OK suppose you are going to do it. Wait until you are done eating and then reach over and grab the hand closest to you and hold it. Or if you want to try while you are eating reach over with your left hand and and grab his left hand so you leave your right hands free for eating. If he is moving 2 hours away, make sure you give him your phone number, email address, and street address. As soon as he is settled down in his new town find out the information for him (email probably won't change). Then you two need to keep in contact as much as you can. A more common sense approach to this would be to give him a going away present and then don't expect to ever see him again. This would mean that you would need to find a new boyfriend.
