We have been apart for a year and a half and I am still hopelessly in love with him.Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I have known my ex for 13 years. He was my first crush as a teenager and my brothers bestfriend. He is 13 years older than me so we did not start dating for many years. Once we did start dating, I moved in with him within six months and within a year we were engaged. I then became pregnant with his child. At three months pregnant, I left him. He was verbally abusive to me and had a bad temper problem that I could no longer deal with. I was very scared of him at times. We have been apart for a year and a half and I am still hopelessly inlove with him. Healso has not lost his tmeper or been verbally avusive with me in a year. We now have a temporary cusody agreement where we have to go to counseling together and we have to spend atleast 4 days a month as a family with the baby and we have to communicate daily. Also he has to keep taking his medication for his problems. This next 18 months is to give him time to earn back my trust as he now says he is a changed man. Over the last month it has been remarkable at how good heis with our child and how tolerent too. In counseling he says that in 9 months he would like to see us dating again and move forward from there. This is what I want too; however, my family hates and resents him and is not supportive of me or our relationship at all. I am also currently involved with someone as I thought when my ex and I broke up that it was over for good. My ex is the love of my life and no one can replace that or break that. What should I do? Our Suggestion: You both seem to love each other and he is behaving properly. You need to break up with your current boyfriend since that is water under the bridge. Your family will need to learn to respect your decisions. Your goal of becoming a family again seems to be a good one. My best wishes to you! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
