Getting to Talk More

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I've been interested in this girl for some time now, an haven't gotten up enough corouge to start the initial conversation an then ask her out? I've talked to her briefly and have said hi on occasion, she seems to be interested, as far as I can tell.

It's gotten almost ridiculous for it's gone on much to long. There are times where I am confident but other times I feal down right pathetic. There's usually people around, which makes it that more difficult for me. I feal as though I'm spinning my wheels. Please help me out I need it.

Our Suggestion:
So far you're doing well. One of the first hurdles is breaking the ice - just getting yourself KNOWN to the person. So you're doing that, saying hi and talking briefly that's very good, and a lot of people get stuck BEFORE that point. So you're doing better than they are :)

OK, now the next step. Now that you've broken the ice, you need to go a bit deeper into flirting. If you can't hold a normal conversation with her, it's definitely not time to leap into asking her out! You need to be friends and comfortable with someone before you date them, otherwise all sorts of disasters occur. So work on becoming friends.

In essence, now you're flirting. You're being friendly and nice and doing all those things that friends do. I have advice here -

but in essence, talk longer, tell her more about you and your world, ask her more about her and her world. You want to build up that connection, that friendship.
