Visitor's Question:
Me and Mr."B" met in Febuary of last year. We fell for eachother and we had a Great time together. Then in like May i found out i was leaving for college in another state, i had planned on going for first semester and coming back. But he had been hurt really bad before that it was like dejavo to him. He was hurt i could tell, he still called and we went out still, but it was like he was holding back not to get hurt to the point we verbally deceided to be friends. We became such good friends, still are, but i stillwas in love with him and the more he opened up to me the more i fell in love.

SO....now i have 3 months til i come back,n ot even that two and he has met someone, he told me and it crushed me, but im trying to be a good friend. We finally talked it out and i told him the truth of how i felt, he said he wasn't completely happy with her because im hurting and that he is losing something he cherishes, lately he calls even more, true we always talked but i figure if has a problem...call her. But his response to that is i need you, no one listens like you do, no one cares like you do, and youve changed me, no one can replace that...

So i really dont know how to handle this, i want him back, im going home in two weeks and its hard because im scared he wont want me, we have a specail bond everyone can see, but if im here i dont have the advantage she has. what do i do to get him back? Can i get him back? we talked about his happiness and i asked him to think about it...would he be as happy with her as he would be with me, he's responds was i dont know, but what i do know is that i cant lose you......Help!!!!

Our Suggestion:
Long distance relationships can definitely work, as long as both people involved are dedicated to making it work. You have the advantage that you and he have this bond together that is special. He chooses to talk with you instead of her.

I would talk to him in person when you get there and explain how you feel. A relationship is about being honest, and believe me, most people look back on life and say "I wish I told him ...." So it's better to tell him and see what you can do. Summer is really not that far away, you would do long distance for a few months and then I assume could be together all summer. By then you would know how things would go for the next year.
