Do you have some advice for this person?

I was told by someone here that I had a wild imagination to think my b/f is cheating, and that if he were, I would know for sure. If I knew for sure then why is it that there are so many women who are caught by surprise when they find out that their husband or boyfriend is cheating? And if he wasn't cheating on the day when he told me he had to clean a downspout, then why is it that the pictures that he sent to his boss were from an apartment that he had already been working at earlier? Why would he lie about the nature of work that he performed at the condiminiums? If I should hire a detective, how much would this cost me? And if he is not cheating why would someone suggest I hire a detective?

You started your last email like this:

"I've been obsessed with checking my boyfriend out because I am overwhelmed with the fear that he is cheating on me. Either I am nuts or he is lying to me, because he claims that he never has cheated on me and that he never will"

You may be right and he may be cheating on you. But how are you going to find out except by confronting him or by hiring a detective?

My opinion is that there is some good explanation for the downspout incident. Maybe it was just a confusion. Isn't that possible?
