Visitor's Question:
I have seen this girl while we both join the graduate program, I was her senior. She is very beautiful and she strikes me when I first saw her. I am fresh with this love thing and I haven't done with it any woman before. Hence, I didn't say anything to her and made no attempt to approach her. In contrast, she started to talk to me. She stared at me for ten minutes without interruption whenever we met face to face, while we were in computer lab studying. But I couldn't respond. I was just afraid or wasn't ready to start a talk with her. She expected me to say something but I couldn't. This went on for one and half year until I graduated and left the university while she remained to continue her final year class. I didn't see the girl until we met face to face six months ago, i.e, for full three years. All these years I have been thinking about her and blaming myself for not telling my feelings for her. It was when I met her six months ago that I knew how deep is my love for her. I had decided to talk to her by phone(still afraid to meet her face to face)and told her that I had something to tell her privately. The moment I told her this, she began avoiding me. I had repeatedly called her but she couldn't be available by phone. I wrote her a letter by post. She responded by email to tell me that she is engaged and never to contact her again. I am still trying to convince her that I am in love with her. But she is avoiding me. What should I do?

Our Suggestion:
You lost your chance long ago.

She was interested then, but is now engaged. So naturally she does not want to contact you.

You should stop trying to contact her and learn a lesson from this. You have to take advantage of a situation that is in the present. Don't hesitate and don't be shy. The only way to learn is by trying and sometimes you will win and sometimes you will lose. It's called life.

So forget this girl and focus on somebody new before life passes you by.

Good luck!
George
